February 4-6, 2022 Florida Ladies Retreat: ABIDE (John 15:5)
Our hearts are still full as we reflect on the beautiful time spent together at the Florida Ladies Retreat held on February 4-6, 2022. The theme “ABIDE”, inspired by John 15:5, reminded us of the power and beauty of remaining in Christ as He remains in us:
"I am the vine, you are the branches. If you abide in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me, you can do nothing."
The retreat was held in a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, allowing sisters in Christ to step away from daily responsibilities and dive deeper into God’s Word and presence. The event was filled with meaningful sessions, uplifting worship, and the blessing of fellowship among women hungry for the Lord.
Speakers Who Inspired Our Hearts
We were honored to hear from Taniya Pekun and Renata Kulakevich, whose heartfelt messages encouraged and challenged us to grow in our daily walk with God. Each session beautifully aligned with the theme, focusing on abiding in Christ through every season of life. They shared practical wisdom and deep spiritual truths that left a lasting impact on every woman in the room.
A Time for Conversation and Connection
The discussion panel was a highlight of the retreat, bringing together voices of wisdom: Dona Simontchik, Taniya Pekun, Renata Kulakevich, and Lyubov Pushkash. Their honest and Spirit-led answers to thought-provoking questions encouraged authenticity and deeper understanding of what it means to abide in Christ in practical ways. Their stories, perspectives, and advice touched on areas of faith, family, and daily challenges, reminding us that we are never alone in this journey.
Worship That Lifted Our Souls
Our time of worship, led by an amazing group from Jacksonville, FL, created a heavenly atmosphere that drew us closer to God. The songs and heartfelt praise brought the women together as one body, lifting our voices in unity and surrender. Many tears were shed as the Spirit moved and brought peace, healing, and joy to our hearts.
Moments to Treasure
Beyond the sessions and worship, there was time for fellowship, laughter, and deep conversations. Friendships were strengthened, prayers were shared, and hearts were renewed. The retreat provided not only spiritual refreshment but also a sense of community that reminded us of the beauty of being part of God’s family.
As we look back on this special weekend, we thank God for His faithfulness and the fruit that came from our time together. The theme ABIDE continues to encourage us to stay close to Him, trusting that He is our source of life, strength, and purpose.
We are so grateful to all the speakers, worship team, discussion panelists, and each woman who attended. Thank you for making this retreat a time to remember! Let’s continue to abide in Him daily, knowing that apart from Him, we can do nothing.
Until next time, may the lessons learned at this retreat inspire you to walk even closer to Christ each day!
